Following Sundays address by The Prime Minister the Country is preparing itself for the phased release from lockdown, those who have not been able to go to work will now start to return. When leaving the premises some weeks ago there was plenty to consider when preparing for a lockdown and in many ways there is a lot more to consider when returning to a working environment.
In conjunction with Health & Safety consultants and key insurer partners we have put together some useful information to help Employers identify and manage the risks associated with returning to a different environment.
The threat of COVID 19 remains and exposures will increase as people come out of the lockdown, there is so much to think about with any workplace and to try and build in suitable protections. Added to this is the need to review your Health & Safety procedures and prepare a Risk Assessment for COVID - 19. We have access to the consultancy services offered by Direct Safety and they have built a specific service geared to supporting clients through this process. A 50 page guide was released by Government yesterday and this is being studied by Direct Safety and their proposition will be updated in light of any developments in the next few days. One of our key insurer partners, Zurich Insurance have produced a very helpful checklist for business to help them cover what’s needed when returning to work. Whilst this is not bespoke to each business it does help with generic points to consider with reopening buildings and, with any industrial risks, restoring power to machinery. Click here for details
