Neil Dunsby and Peter Beddis have worked together for in excess of 20 years and their background has helped bring together a team of dedicated professionals committed to providing a high level of personal service. Neil Dunsby ACII
After working in both underwriting and with national brokers, Neil joined Peter at Beddis and Partners Limited in 1994. He became a Director and Shareholder prior to its sale in 2004 and then managed the Birmingham Office under its new ownership before leaving to establish Dunsby Associates Insurance Brokers Limited. He has a strong client service ethic, allied to a commercial attitude to business, with sound relationships within the Insurance Market built up over 30 years in the industry.
Interests: Keen runner and has completed 5 marathons, also a big music fan particularly live music but despite a couple of attempts can't play an instrument! Sports fan, supporting Aston Villa FC
In 1985 Peter established Beddis and Partners Limited, which became one of the UK's most successful independent brokers. He has a wealth of corporate experience both as a business leader and in helping clients to manage their insurance arrangements. His market knowledge and breadth of experience provides a cornerstone for business.
Interests: A very keen sports fan, mainly watching rather than competing now, other than being a summer golfer. Enjoys travelling to watch sport and taste the local wines. Staying more local for his football, he is a Birmingham City Fan.
Head of Broking
After working for an International Broker for 7 years Scott moved to take a Senior Account Handling role within Beddis & Partners Limited in 2001 and he has now worked for over 20 years within the insurance industry. Scott's knowledge and experience are a real asset to our business. His work ethic is aligned to our own and he strives to provide client satisfaction at all times, with his client relationships being second to none. He has built strong relationships with underwriters throughout his career which enables us to achieve both competitive terms and bespoke cover for our clients.
Interests: Recently taken up mountain biking, has still to get the bike dirty though! Interested in the majority of sports as a spectator and is a Birmingham City fan. Big fan of 1980's music and bands.
Having worked within the Insurance Broking Sector for over 20 years Martyn has gained a broad technical knowledge and maintains a strong client focused service ethic. As part of the team with Neil and Peter at Beddis & Partners he worked as an Account Executive, advising clients on technical issues, building strong links within the insurance market and developing strong client relationships. His attention to detail and dedication to his clients ensure they are all well looked after, he is a valuable asset for our business.
Interests: Enjoys being a family man first and foremost. Likes to travel, having visited many foreign destinations before the children came along, now he's lucky if he gets further than Centre Parcs! Football fan, following Walsall FC and is a real ale connoisseur.
Paul joined Dunsby Associates early in 2013 and has over 35 years experience, working for both local Independent and National Brokers. He worked with the management team previously at Beddis & Partners Limited for ten years and has strong client relationships built around personal service. He works hard on behalf of his clients to ensure that the cover in place remains current and terms are competitive.
He has developed a thorough understanding of Health and Safety and liaises with our Consultants to offer effective solutions to our clients and works closely with them to ensure they deliver. Additionally Paul will co-ordinate our regular Bulletins ensuring the content is both relevant and topical.
Interests: A keen follower of Formula 1, attends Silverstone annually for the British Grand Prix. Dedicated gardener, always good for some gardening tips!
Carol worked for Municipal Mutual, who became Zurich Insurance, for 29 years, the majority of this time she spent as a Claims Handler dealing with Local Authority claims ranging from pot hole damage to personal injury. She enjoyed excellent relationships with the customers she dealt with. She was made redundant in March 2016 and then took a well-earned break, and after re-focusing on her career she accepted a position with us as Administration Assistant. She has a wealth of experience which she will be drawing upon to support the team.
Interests: Enjoys spending time with her family and socialising with friends, particularly curry nights! She likes reading, gardening and baking.
Senior Account Handler
Keith's career commenced with Commercial Union, where he worked as an Underwriter before moving to become a Broker 25 years ago when he joined Beddis & Partners which at that stage was in its formative years. He worked on their large and complex cases and was subsequently appointed as a Director of the business. Following the sale of the business in 2004, he continued to work within the new organisation for 10 years before joining our team in 2014. He has considerable experience in handling technical and complex cases, including PLC business, and he shares the same dedication as the rest of the team to providing a first class professional service to his clients.
Interests: Avid follower of Tamworth FC and their roller coaster journey around the non-league scene.
Senior Claims Handler
Mike’s career started in Motor Claims and following a brief stint as an Engineering Underwriter for Norwich Union he returned to the claims sector where he has spent the last 18 years gaining a wealth of experience handling Liability, Property, Travel and Motor claims.
Mike has held claims positions with insurers, loss adjusters, brokers as well as third party administrators whose clients have ranged from private individuals to multinational corporations.
Interests: As well as being a keen mountain biker, Mike would describe himself as a car and motorbike enthusiast who likes to attend various car shows and enjoys watching motorsport with Moto GP and British Superbikes being firm favourites
Pat worked alongside Peter Beddis from the inception of the Beddis & Partners Ltd business in 1985 and had a key role in managing the operational side of the organisation. Ultimately she became a Director, managing the Human Resources for an office of almost 90 people. Pat manages our operations including the HR function. Her ability to identify talent and support development enables people to flourish and produces a strong team culture.
Interests: Like most women enjoys socialising, shopping and wine! Enjoys attending live music and comedy gigs
With over 40 years experience, the majority working in the Insurance Broking Sector, Phil knows the accounting function inside out and works part time to handle our requirements and provide advice.
Interests: Very committed West Bromwich Albion supporter also a film fan, usually the first in the cinema queue to see any new releases. Loving the role of grandfather recently bestowed upon him.
Jo began her career with Municipal Mutual in the Fire Department. She moved to Commercial Union who eventually became Aviva and worked there for 22 years. She worked on a team of underwriters, building up strong relationships with brokers, focussing on customer service and has a pro-active attitude. After being made redundant, and having a break from insurance she went into broking and enjoys talking to both clients and insurers, helping to achieve the best for the client.
Interests: She has 7 cats and loves anything to do with animals! She also likes reading, walking and most types of music.
